As a child, weekend trips into Washington DC sparked my early fascination with the urban environment and architecture. Since that time, I've had the pleasure to live in many different types of towns and cities, all with their own particular history and intrigue.  I've found that a great way to get a sense of any neighborhood, town or city, is to take a leisurely stroll on a late summer evening. This is a  particular favorite of mine, perhaps with a stop for some ice cream along the way.
